Baby shower!

June 9, 2009

My sisters-in-law were kind enough to host a baby shower for me on Saturday afternoon.  Kristie flew in for Jess’s bachelorette party and bridal shower this weekend, so I really appreciated that they took the time to put together a shower for me in the middle of such a crazy weekend!

It was so sweet . . .they decorated with a clothesline with onesies on it . . .

. . .and Jess made the cutest little chick planters as favors . . .

I got so many nice gifts!

Seeing all of the baby stuff kind of threw me for a loop . . .In just a few months, our little baby will be wearing these clothes, dirtying these diapers.  Gulp!  It made this whole adventure seem so REAL!

My friend Jen made a beautiful diaper cake using the colors of our nursery

and Kristie made a Pittsburgh sports-themed diaper cake.

They’re too pretty to take apart!

Mike and his Dad went out for a burger and a few beers during the shower, but came back at the end.  Mike surprised me with a rose tree (please please let me not kill it . . .) and cinnamon almonds!

Thanks, Jess and Kristie, for such a wonderful shower!

Looks like a great baby shower :) Love the diaper cakes. One of my co-workers made one when I was expecting JSL. Can not wait to see those adorable Steeler Crocs on your little one.
